The Dinner Table Club hosts dinner parties for strangers at partner restaurants in New York, DC, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco. Each dinner seats 10 to 20 guests, most of whom come on their own, with a host who runs the night.

It started in 2023 as an apartment dinner party in New York. Since then it has welcomed more than 3,000 guests across more than 200 events.

You check in with your host, get a welcome drink at most events, and meet the table. Dinner is usually three courses served family style, and guests switch seats between courses so you talk with more of the table. The host keeps the conversation moving the whole night.

Of course. Each of you books your own seat. We'll still mix up the seating so you both meet new people.

Most dinners at The Dinner Table Club seat 10 to 20 guests. That is big enough to meet a range of people and small enough that the whole table can talk.

Guests are people who want to meet someone new: new arrivals to a city, people whose friends have moved away, and people who would rather spend an evening at a table than on an app. Most guests are between 25 and 40, but that's a pattern, not a rule.

Guests must be at least 18 unless an event page says otherwise.

No. The Dinner Table Club is about meeting people, not matchmaking. Some events are singles dinners, and those are labeled clearly on the event page. Every other dinner is open to anyone, coupled or single.

Prices depend on the restaurant and the menu, and each event page shows the price before you book. Recent dinners have ranged from about $80 to $125 per person.

Pick a dinner on the events page or your city page and click Reserve. Tickets are sold through Luma, which emails your confirmation and the restaurant details.

Nothing about the experience. Every ticket gets the same night. We offer gendered tickets to keep the table balanced, and General Admission is open to anyone.

Join the list. We add new dates regularly, subscribers hear first, and seats sometimes open up from cancellations.

Tickets are final sale, as the Terms of Service explain, because seats and menus are planned with the restaurant ahead of time. If something comes up, email hello@thedinnertable.club as early as you can and we'll see what's possible.

If The Dinner Table Club cancels a dinner and does not reschedule it, you will be offered a refund, a credit or a transfer.
