About this dinner

A Dinner Party With Strangers In Flatiron At Little Basil

Come meet new people over Thai home-style cooking at Little Basil, a casual, conversation-friendly Thai restaurant on East 26th Street, steps from Flatiron, NoMad, Kips Bay and Murray Hill.

This is a small-group dinner party built for meeting people. You'll start with a welcome drink, sit down to a shared Thai meal, and switch seats between courses so you spend the night talking with different people. Coming solo is completely normal. Most of our guests do. Three-Course Dinner Served Family-Style

Dinner service includes a family-style 3-course dinner for each guest: appetizers, mains, and dessert, all shared at the table.

We've created gendered tickets to ensure a relatively even distribution of guests at our events. GA is open to anyone.

How the night works

Your host checks you in and introduces you around. Dinner is usually three courses served family style, and guests switch seats between courses so you meet most of the table. Read how it works for the full night.

Questions

Can I come alone?

Yes, and most people do. Every dinner is built for meeting new people, and your host makes sure everyone's included from the moment you check in.

What's the age range?

Everyone is welcome. Most of our guests are between 25 and 40, but that's a pattern, not a rule.

What's included in the ticket?

A multi-course meal, a welcome drink at most events, and a host who runs the night.

What if a dinner is sold out?

Join the list. We add new dates regularly, subscribers hear first, and seats sometimes open up from cancellations.
